Jimmy Carter, he won a Nobel Peace Prize for bringing together Israel and Egypt. He should have been celebrated by every American and every person who believes in faith and humanity throughout the world.
Could you imagine Reagan or anyone else including the nouveau riche Clinton, Obama the Bushes or this fat guy doing anything for the poor?
It was time to join his dear Rosalyn in heaven where I am sure they are smiling and holding hands and sitting at the right hand of god as one of the lords greatest avatars to have walked this earth.
Still the WWII veteran who outlasted all of his illustrious contemporaries never gave up. While in office, he put solar collectors on the roof of the White House, he railed on that materialism and consumption should not be the goal in life. He funded my program, the 1st solar collector project in the US in Nebraska no less and the 1st solar job training program which I also started in California.
But they called Carter a loser, just another nice guy. No he was a winner, a true Christian who taught bible class until his late 90’s. Married just once for 77 years to his HS sweetheart, Rosalyn. The worst he ever did? Recall the Playboy where he said, “ I committed adultery many times in my heart.” In his heart, can you believe how he would be mocked today for saying he looked at women once in a while, and the current guy got re-elected after raping women and ‘grabbing them by the pussy’ and paying off porn stars.
Carter took office in 1977, thus ending the final Vietnam malaise. But alas no, inflation was baked in at that point and it haunted Carter to the point where even if there was no Iran Crisis, the typical Republican inflation would have gotten him.

Carter never gave up, he just pivoted to become the US ambassador for peace, for his famous Habitat for Humanity house building.
No Jimmy Carter was not just a nice guy, he was a visionary who walked the walk every day staying alive long enough to vote for the 1st Black-Indian woman to run for President.

Jimmy Carter thought big, put massive $$ into training the unemployed, minorities and was vilified by the Republicans for it. No investment in people was Reagan’s real goal, remember the government was the problem. Like Trump will do to Biden’s investments, Reagan did to Carter, dismantling training and retraining thus starting the spiral of outsourcing under Reagan that decimated the Rust Belt and more.
He knew after that moment, he had given his last shot to try to carry something good over the line. There was nothing left for him on this earth.
There will never be another like him.

The greatest humanitarian President in the history of the USA. There will never be another like him, if not just because of his accomplishments in this regard, but also his longevity.
